Raj Thackeray to address poll rally in Pune today; traffic diversion announced 

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Raj Thackeray, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief will address a poll rally in favour of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Murlidhar Mohol on May 10 (Friday), Sarasbaug at 5 pm. 

As a result, in order to facilitate the smooth functioning of the traffic the Pune Police, traffic department has announced traffic diversion. It is expected there will be a sizable gathering in front of the Garware Balbhawan and in the vicinity of Sarasbagh, Jedhe Chowk, Puram Chowk, Tilak Road, Bajirao Road, Mitra Mandal Chowk, and Savarkar Chowk. 

To keep traffic smooth and safe, Rohidas Pawar, Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) issued a notice and has made the following traffic changes for all types of vehicles on the following route:

1. From Sinhagad Road – Savarkar Chowk – Bajirao Road will have the following changes: 

• Alternate Route: Commuters will go to the desired destination via Savarkar Chowk – Mitra Mandal Chowk – Holga Chowk.

2) From Mitra Mandal Chowk – Savarkar Chowk – Bajirao Road will have the following changes

• Alternate Route: Mitra Mandal Chowk – Savarkar Chowk commuters shall take a left turn towards Sinhagad Road via Dandekar Bridge to reach the desired destination.

3) Coming from Jedhe Chowk – Bajaj Putla Chowk – Bajirao Road will have the following changes

• Alternate Route: Jedhe Chowk – Bajaj Putla Chowk, commuters shall take a left turn – then in Savarkar Chowk take a right turn and proceed to the desired destination via Sinhagad Road.

4) Vehicles coming from Satara Road and going to Bajirao Road from Jedhe flyover should take Holga Chowk – Mitra Mandal Chowk – Savarkar Chowk – Sinhagad Road.

5)  Vehicles coming from Solapur Road via Jedhe Chowk Underpass should take Jedhe Chowk – Holga Chowk – Mitra Mandal Chowk – Savarkar Chowk – Sinhagad Road.
