Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has instructed party Pune leader Sainath Babar to appoint ‘Rajdhoots’ to reach out to every voter, ahead of the Pune municipal corporation elections.

All political parties are eagerly awaiting the election schedule as administrative rules are existing in each district. Babar said he would appoint party ambassadors in each area soon.

Speaking to Pune Pulse Sainath Babar said, “As per the instructions, the party plans to recruit a total of 3,500 ‘ambassadors’ (MNS dhoots) to cover at least 250 families in the city. Our founder has focussed on Nashik and Pune ever since the formation of the party. As many as 29 MNS corporators were elected in the first attempt in Pune. Ramesh Wanjale became the MLA. Therefore, our chief always has expectations from Pune. Hence, he has increased the visits to Pune and now the idea of appointing an ambassador is being implemented in the city as part of the preparations for the upcoming municipal elections.”

As per Babar, each ambassador will have to focus on 1000 people in his area. The issues of the people should be raised apart from propagating about the party.

“These 3500 ambassadors will have access to the MNS headquarters in Mumbai. The ambassadors will have to remain active till the elections,” he added.

As per political observers, there are differences inside the party but they have so far managed to hold it together. With municipal elections, Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections lined up, Raj Thackeray is focussed on strengthening the organisation.

Explaining that they are looking for people who believe in their leader and party, Babar said that a big gathering will be held after the appointment of the ambassadors in Pune.
