Ram Mandir Inauguration : Pune Police Extends License of Firecracker Sellers
Approval of renewal of firecracker sales licence in Pune
Millions across the globe are awaiting to witness the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22. A day no less than Diwali for many. It is expected that people will burst firecrackers on this auspicious day to celebrate the occasion.
On this occasion, license extension will be given to traders selling firecrackers in the city from January 16 to 23 for setting up firecracker stalls in private and public places. In this regard, Additional Commissioner of Police has given orders to all Pune police stations.
As per further information from the order, it is informed that on 22/01/2024, on the occasion of Ram Mandir’s inauguration, Deepotsav and Anandotsav will be celebrated all over India. Accordingly, due to the sudden increase in the demand for firecrackers from people, firecrackers shops have been temporarily established in various places for the convenience of the people in Pune city and rural areas. A statement has been received regarding the firecrackers shops to be permitted to run between 16/01/2024 to 23/01/2024.
The order further says that a temporary firecracker stall license was granted in November 2023 on the occasion of Diwali to firecracker stalls in Pune. The license renewal of the same from 16/01/2024 to 23/01/2024 is being granted by the police station. However, appropriate terms and conditions should be maintained.
The idol of Lord Rama will be installed in the temple on January 22 in Ayodhya. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to everyone to celebrate Diwali in the country. Therefore, it had been demanded that firecracker traders in Pune should get temporary licenses in private and public places for which license renewal has been granted from 16th January to 23rd January.
