Rambo Circus celebrates 31st birthday

Rambo Circus on January 26 celebrated its 31st birthday. It first started on January 26, 1991 in Pune by P T Dilip. The 31st birthday celebrations were held at the bus stand near Fun Time Multiplex where the circus is being held. The program began after paying tribute to Vishnupant Chattre.

Author Pravin Walimbe, who has written two books Circus Vishwa and World of Circus at the occasion said, ‘Playgrounds must be made available at a nominal charge to keep Circus alive.’


Advocate Anand Dhotre said that November 26 should be celebrated as National Circus Day. Circus is held everyday at 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm for which the ticket rates are Rs 150, 250, 350, 500. There are 60 artists who perform in the circus.
