Ravet Hoarding Collapse case : FIR filed against owner, maker, renter and advertising company

In an incident that took place yesterday at Ravet area of Pimpri Chinchwad, five people lost their lives when the hoarding collapsed. The incident occurred when the strong winds and untimely rains were experienced in the area on Monday evening, April 17. These people were taking shelter at the puncture shop to save themselves from the untimely rains on the Pune Bengaluru highway. Also, three people were severely injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

The incident led to a case being filed against the people involved in the incident. The hoarding owner and maker, advertising company, and the one who had rented the space. Case against four people involved in the case, Namdev Barku Mhasude, Datta Gulab Taras, Mahesh Tanaji Gade, and the advertising company on the hoarding have been filed, but there have been no arrests made in the incident.

The incident has drawn a lot of criticism among the residents and politicians, where the residents complained that the negligence on part of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has resulted into loss of lives. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today announced a relief of Rs. 3 lakh to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the accident.
