RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das Hospitalized In Chennai, Discharge Expected Soon
Chennai: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai earlier today due to a minor health issue related to acidity. The RBI assured the public there is no cause for concern, stating that Das is in good health and expected to be discharged within hours.
An RBI spokesperson shared an update on the governor’s condition, confirming that he is “doing fine” and the hospitalization was precautionary. “Reserve Bank of India Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das experienced acidity and was admitted in Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observation. He is now doing fine and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours,” the spokesperson said.
The brief hospitalization of the central bank’s head garnered significant attention, but the RBI has emphasized that his condition is not serious.
