Restrictions on movements in Pune from April 3

The spike in Covid19 cases has compelled the state government to take stern steps to curb the spread. But the news of lockdown left many industries in panic, as it would lead to severe losses.

Maharashtra on April 1 recorded the highest number of Covid19 cases reaching, 40000 number of cases, where Pune recorded around 4000 cases. 
In the Friday review meeting which was held today at the Council Hall in Pune, Ajit Pawar, guardian minister for Pune district and deputy chief minister for Maharashtra announced restrictions on several activities. All MLA’s, MP’s, Mayor, Commissioner, Collector, Divisional Commissioner and other representatives were present in the review meeting held on Friday. 

Important points discussed in the meeting : 

  • Beginning from April 3, 2021, Curfew to be imposed between 6 pm to 6 am everyday for the next 7 days   
  • Gardens to remain open in morning but shall remain closed in the evening  
  • Eateries, eating points, bar, restaurants to remain close completely for the next 7 days 
  • Schools and colleges to remain closed till April 30, 2021  
  • Home deliveries of food parcels shall remain open 
  • Malls and cinema halls to remain close for the next 7 days 
  • Religious places to remain closed completely   
  • PMPML bus services to remain shut  
  • Essential services shall remain open such as hospitals, milk supply and newspaper services 
  • Weekly markets to remain closed  
  • PMC mandai, shops of vegetables, fruits and other to remain open but should strictly follow- social distancing protocols. 
  • Marriage and final rites programmes to be allowed – Previous guidelines to be continued 
  • All programmes, cultural, social, political to remain prohibited till the further guidelines are issued  Essential services – newspaper, milk, hospitals, to be allowed 

Next decision to be taken by next friday.

No restriction on inter district and intra district transport service 
Parcel services to remain open Clubhouse, gym, community hall, in housing societies to remain closed (previous guidelines still in force)
