Amidst the nationwide turbulence in air travel schedules, Bollywood actor Richa Chadha joins the chorus of discontent, revealing her own struggles with flight delays. Taking to X, Chadha shared her recent ordeal of facing substantial delays in two consecutive domestic flights operated by Indigo.

She began by writing, “On my 3rd flight in 3 days… day 1, @IndiGo6E delayed by over 4 hours. Day 2, @IndiGo6E delayed by 4 hours. But the only direct flights on some routes are often Indigo. Day 3, international flight, no problem. On the 14th of Jan, there was an air show in Mumbai, because of which the runway was closed in the morning. And then fog/smog in North India – Delhi runway clclosed. Ripple effect? Flights delayed all over the country, staff overextended.”

Additionally, she addressed the recent incident of a passenger physically assaulting an Indigo pilot.

In a series of tweets, Richa Chadha detailed her experience of taking three flights in three days, with both her domestic Indigo flights encountering delays of over four hours each. She acknowledged external factors like fog in Delhi and the air show in Mumbai but attributed the chaos to a perceived ‘lack of accountability’ on the airline’s part. Chadha expressed her frustration with the situation, highlighting the challenges faced by passengers and overworked staff.

The actor also commented on the widely circulated video showing a passenger physically assaulting an Indigo pilot. Expressing her surprise that only one person resorted to violence amid heightened tensions, she cautioned against the pitfalls of monopolistic control in the aviation industry. Chadha emphasized that a lack of accountability, whether in airlines, airport ownership, or leadership, leads to common citizens suffering without recourse. She questioned the current state of affairs, urging collective awareness and action to rectify the situation.

Richa Chadha’s comments follow similar grievances expressed by fellow actors Radhika Apte and Sonu Sood, who shared their unpleasant experiences with flight delays on social media. The general sentiment among celebrities underscores the broader challenges faced by air travellers in the wake of ongoing disruptions and mismanagement.

As flight delays continue to plague the Indian aviation sector, celebrities like Richa Chadha contribute their voices to highlight the systemic issues causing inconvenience to passengers.

The concerns raised by these public figures shed light on the urgent need for accountability, improved services, and a more transparent approach in the aviation industry to ensure a smoother travel experience for all.
