Rongali Bihu celebrations held in Pune
LUIT – The Assamese Society in Pune (The Assam Association Pune) recently held Rongali Bihu celebrations on 16th April, 2022 at Annabhau Sathe auditorium, Yerwada. The event included several programs to showcase the Assamese tradition which started with Assamese Jalpan, Koni juj (traditional fun activities, Husori, jeng bihu, Bihu dance, Assamese fusion group dance, kids bihu performance, singing followed by Bihu bhuj (Dinner).
Bidyut Saikia, secretary of the organisation said, “It was a grand celebration of Assamese New year where Assamese people residing in Pune came together. This year we had Assamese people from Satara, Solapur, Kolhapur and Mumbai too attending the function. “
