Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway : Nagpur Pune Travel Bus Overturns Near Buldhana : 25 Passengers Dead, Many InjuredÂ
In an unfortunate incident that took place today morning on the Samrudhhi Mahamarg Expressway near Buldhana, a private travel bus overturned and caught fire. 25 passengers were engulfed in the accident and died on the spot while many others are injured.
There were 32 passengers in the bus when the incident took place. Further investigation in the incident is underway. The bus was travelling from Nagpur to Pune. The accident took place at around 1.30 AM when the bus first hit a pole and then overturned. The diesel tank broke and the diesel spilled and led to fire. The bus immediately caught fire and burst into flames.
Baburao Mahamuni, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Buldhana informed that the injured are taken to the Buldhana civil hospital for further treatment.
