Pune: The Ganesh Visarjan ceremony in Sangvi is scheduled to take place today. Monday, being the seventh day, public Ganesh mandals have organized the immersion processions. However, these processions often cause traffic congestion.

Consequently, traffic on the procession route has been redirected. Specifically, traffic on seven routes will be diverted from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Monday.

One of the closed routes is the road leading from Krishna Chowk to Famous Chowk. As an alternative, drivers can take the route via the water tank, passing through Old Sangvi and Sangvi Mahatma Phule Bridge.

Another closed route is the one from Maheshwari Chowk to Makan Hospital Chowk in Old Sangvi. In this case, the alternative route is through Bank of Maharashtra in Old Sangvi, either via Aundh or the water tank, and then continuing through Sangvi Mahatma Phule Bridge.

Furthermore, the road leading from Krishna Chowk to Kranti Chowk/Famous Chowk is also closed. As an alternative route, drivers can turn left at Kate Puram Chowk and then turn right at Mayur Nagari-MK Hotel, proceeding through Dhore Farm, Ba Ra Gholap, and Mahatma Phule Bridge.

Similarly, the road leading from Krishna Chowk to Sai Chowk is closed. As an alternative, drivers can turn left at Katepuram Chowk and then turn right at Mayur Nagari-MK Hotel, continuing through Dhore Farm, Ba Ra Gholap, and Mahatma Phule Bridge.

Access from Sai Chowk and Krishna Chowk to the old Sangvi water tank is also prohibited. Instead, drivers can take the alternative route through Ba Ra Gholap, Dhore Farm, MK Hotel, Mayurnagari, and Katepuram Chowk.

Lastly, the water tank from Old Sangvi to Bank of Maharashtra Chowk and Shitole petrol pump is prohibited. In this case, the alternative route is through the water tank from Sai Chowk, passing through Mahatma Phule Bridge (Sangvi) near Old Sangvi Police Post, and continuing via Aundh.
