NSUI Protests at Pune University Over ‘Voice of Devendra’ Elocution Contest Theme
Pune: The Center for Science Education and Communication (CSEC) at Savitribai Phule Pune University will celebrate National Science Day 2025 as an Open Day on Friday, February 28, 2025. As part of the event, a special exhibition featuring various scientific models and experiments will be open to the public from 11 AM to 4 PM. Additionally, live demonstrations, interactive science shows, projection mapping exhibits, and unique presentations like the “Talking Tree” will be showcased. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about ongoing activities at the center.
A prize distribution ceremony for competitions organized in honor of National Science Day will take place on February 28 at 10 AM. The event will feature MP Medhatai Kulkarni and IUCAA Director Prof. Shri Anand as chief guests, while Vice-Chancellor Prof. Suresh Gosavi will preside over the program.
In collaboration with Granthali and Pratibhangan, CSEC organized the “Vigyan Dhara – Science Drama Competition” from February 4, 2025, inaugurated by renowned theater director Satish Alekar. The competition saw participation from 55 teams, who performed their plays over four days.
Other events included a painting competition (February 15, 2025), a monologue contest (February 22, 2025), and various science-based activities aimed at fostering creativity and interactive learning. Over 500 students participated, with university dignitaries encouraging their efforts.
