The service was launched in 2022 and is available for customers whose mobile numbers are registered with SBI. The same number must also be active on WhatsApp to use this facility.
How to Register for SBI WhatsApp Banking
Customers can activate the service using either of the following methods:
By visiting SBI’s official website and scanning the QR code for registration
OR
By sending an SMS from the registered mobile number in this format:

Once the registration is successful, the service becomes active for the customer’s account.
