Seven newborns were killed, out of the twelve, who were rescued after a massive fire broke out at New Born Baby Care Hospital Hospital in Vivek Vihar area of East Delhi on Saturday night.

As per the police, all of these newborns were shifted another hospital last night when the fire broke out.

16 fire tenders reached the spot after the incident

Sharing details of the incident late last night, the police said it received the call at around 11:30 pm. A total of 16 fire tenders reached the spot, after which the fire was brought under control. The fire was dosed after two hours of rescue operations. Two other nearby buildings were affected by the fire.

Two buildings were also affected by the fire. One is the hospital building and 2 floors of a residential building on the right side also caught fire. 11-12 people were rescued and they were taken to hospital. 

Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials reported that a fire broke out at a children’s hospital in Shahdara on Saturday night. Seven out of the twelve newborns rescued from the blaze at the East Delhi hospital in Vivek Vihar have died, according to officials on Sunday.
