Suryavanshi is a teacher. One of his relatives wanted a job as a teacher. They met Dadasaheb Darade in June 2019. He told Suryavanshi that his sister Shailaja Darade was an officer in the education department. He lured the plaintiff by assuring him that he will employ two of the complainant’s female relatives as teachers. In return, he allegedly took Rs 27 lakhs from Suryavanshi. After a few months, Suryavanshi asked to return his money as they did not get the job as promised. However, Darade refused. Suryavanshi filed a complaint after realizing the fraud.

It is alleged that Shailaja Darade, through her brother, cheated people who pursued D.Ed (Diploma in Education) by promising to provide permanent employment to teachers.
