In what could be thrilling news for fans of the 90s, a sequel to Shaktimaan may soon be on the way, reviving one of the most beloved television series from that era.
Actor Mukesh Khanna, who famously portrayed the main character in the original show, shared the teaser on Instagram this past Saturday.
The original Shaktimaan debuted in 1997 on Doordarshan and ran for more than 450 episodes.
Shaktimaan is a superhuman hero with extraordinary and mystical powers, chosen by a clandestine group of saints to fight against evil across the globe.
The show is making its comeback to the screen shortly! Actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his iconic role in the original series, revealed the teaser on his Instagram this past Saturday. He declared, “It’s Time For HIM to RETURN,” prompting a wave of excitement from fans in the comments section.

The post includes a video with Mukesh Khanna as Shaktimaan. The video continues with Mukesh portraying Shaktimaan. He arrives at a school, where he begins to sing, “Aazadi ke deewanon ne jung ladhi phir jaanein di, ang ang kat gaye magar anch watan par na ane di…”.
