During the Chhath Puja celebrations, a cultural program featured artists dancing with snakes wrapped around their necks to popular film songs. On stage, there were two cobras, and the performers were so absorbed in the music that they didn’t notice when one of the cobras struck. It was only when the artist began to feel faint that they realized they had been bitten. The situation escalated quickly, resulting in the artist fainting and causing panic among the audience.

Reports indicate that this artist puts their life on the line for only 2000 rupees, performing stage shows for entertainment and dancing to film songs while handling venomous snakes. They interact closely with the snakes. If they hadn’t received timely medical attention, their life might have been in danger. Previously, the artist sought help from several tantriks, but after failing to improve, they were taken to Saharsa Sadar Hospital.

The eye witness of the incident, Gaurav Kumar, stated that he has been organizing such shows for many years, traveling to various districts to entertain people with snake performances. However, this is the first time such a mishap has occurred. While we were all dancing to the Nagina song, a cobra was placed in front of us. During the performance, the cobra bit the hand of one of the performers hand, but it went unnoticed. After some time, the performer fainted and collapsed on the stage. The performer was taken to a healer but the venom couldn’t be removed there, leading to hospitalization.
