‘Sharam Nahi Aati’: Sunny Deol Angrily Scolds Paparazzi for Filming Him Amid Dharmendra’s Health Concerns
Actor lashes out at paparazzi outside his Juhu home after false reports on Dharmendra’s condition spark confusion.
Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, distressed by ongoing speculation around his father Dharmendra’s health, confronted members of the media outside his Juhu residence on Thursday. The actor, who has been under visible emotional strain, turned back mid-walk, folded his hands, and firmly reprimanded photographers for recording him during a sensitive time.
The moment was captured on camera. Sunny, unable to contain his anger, said, “You have a family, parents, and kids at home, and you are clicking videos like c******. Aren’t you ashamed?” After expressing his frustration, he walked away without taking further questions.
The outburst followed a wave of incorrect reports earlier this week that falsely suggested deterioration in Dharmendra’s condition. These misleading posts quickly spread online, prompting widespread confusion and concern.
Hema Malini, reacting strongly to the misinformation, called it “unforgivable,” questioning how established outlets could circulate false updates about someone who was responding well to treatment. She urged media organisations to show respect and responsibility during sensitive situations.
Dharmendra’s daughter Esha Deol also issued a clear statement, confirming that her father was stable and recovering. “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery,” she wrote on Instagram.
Members of the film industry, including veteran writer Javed Akhtar, expressed disappointment at the premature and incorrect reports. Several political figures also shared their concern, noting that such misinformation was distressing to both the family and the public.
The veteran actor, who had been receiving treatment, was discharged on Wednesday and is currently continuing his recovery at home. His family has repeatedly appealed for privacy while they focus on his well-being.
