Pimpri-Chinchwad: Residents of Ward No. 28 in the city are facing a severe water crisis as the new water tank with a capacity of 20 lakh liters constructed in Rajmata Jijau Park remains non-operational even after completion of all work. Shatrughna Kate, former Corporator, has drawn attention to the issue in a written statement to Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh on Tuesday, March 14.

The onset of summer has only exacerbated the situation as day-to-day water supply through the Municipal Corporation is irregular and at low pressure, making it difficult for residents to carry out their daily activities. The delay in commissioning the new water tank has left citizens wondering why it is taking so long to make it operational and what the problems are that are causing the delay.

Shatrughna Kate, through his statement, has demanded answers to these questions from the Municipal Commissioner and has urged him to take immediate action to make the new water tank in Rajmata Jijau Park operational as soon as possible. The tank’s commissioning would provide much-needed relief to the citizens of the area who are suffering from a lack of water supply.
