The Mahayuti alliance is expected to field former MP Shivajirao Adhalrao-Patil, a member of the Shinde Sena, from the Shirur constituency in Pune, sources said, because the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is unable to decide on a candidate.

Party leader Adhalrao is expected to run on an NCP ticket. On the potential development, the former MP declined to comment.

The NCP and Shiv Sena have been vying for the Shirur seat. Ajit Pawar has insisted that his party run for the seat in the Mahayuti seat-sharing negotiations since the NCP candidate won it in 2019.

However, the Sena led by Shinde has been requesting the seat, claiming that Adhalrao-Patil has won the seats three times in a row.

Top NCP sources claimed that the BJP had reconciled the two opposing factions.

Adhalrao will run on an NCP ticket, according to an NCP leader. Everything is complete. All that needs to happen is the announcement.

A spokesperson for the NCP stated that just wait for a few days. It will all become very clear.

Adhalrao stated that he has no idea what is going on at the highest levels. The leader of the party, the NCP, and the BJP are currently debating. The Chief Minister has instructed him to hold off for a few days. He anticipates hearing more about this in the next two days.

In the Shirur Lok Sabha election again former MP Adharao Patil against current MP Dr Amol Kolhe is going to have a tough fight.

It is almost certain that this seat has been left for the NCP. Therefore, there is a picture that BJP’s candidate will not be in the election. It is also being said that Shiv Sena’s deputy leader and former MP Athar Rao Patil will enter the Nationalist Congress Party and after that the Mahayuti’s candidature will fall on him.
