One person on the two-wheeler died and two others were injured when the water tanker hit the biker. A pedestrian was also injured. The incident took place around 9 am in the Kale Odha area on Wagholi Kesnand Road. Around 10 people have been killed in road accidents within a month.

The deceased bike rider has been identified as Rajendra Bonde (age 44, resident of Vadgaon Sheri). The names of the injured are Suraj Patil and Sunil Kisan Mangle (age 42, resident of Vadgaon Sheri). According to the information given by the police, the three Bonde, Mangle and Patil were going towards Kesnand on a two-wheeler. The tanker was going towards Kesnand. Due to the accident in the Kale Odhe area, two people on two wheeler came under the front wheel of the tanker and one person came under the rear wheel.One person died in this accident.

While two others were injured. All three were working as supervisors at a construction site in Wagholi. Both the injured are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Wagholi. Lonikand police are conducting further investigation.

The causes of accidents are vehicles exceeding the speed limit, goods exceeding the capacity, wrongful overtaking, poor condition of vehicles, excessive haste, non-observance of traffic rules, reverse traffic.

10 people have been killed in road accidents in Wagholi and its area within a month. Among these, the number of victims on two-wheelers is more. Pedestrians are also being killed while crossing the road. Two-wheeler riders are getting killed in collisions with heavy vehicles. This includes vehicles like dumpers, tankers, containers.
