In a significant administrative reshuffle announced by the Maharashtra government, several key positions across various departments have undergone changes. Vikram Kumar (IAS:MH:2004), who previously served as the Municipal Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), has been reassigned as the Additional Metropolitan Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) in Mumbai. 

Meanwhile, Dr Rajendra Bhosale (IAS:MH:2008) has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of PMC, succeeding Vikram Kumar. Dr Bhosale, known for his deep understanding of urban governance and proven track record, is expected to lead Pune’s municipal affairs effectively. 

Additionally, Lahu Mali (IAS:MH:2009) has been entrusted with the role of Director, Disaster Management, within the Relief and Rehabilitation Department at Mantralaya, Mumbai, highlighting the government’s emphasis on strengthening disaster preparedness mechanisms. 

Lastly, Kailash Pagare (IAS:MH:2010) has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Integrated Tribal Development Scheme in Navi Mumbai, reflecting the government’s commitment to advancing welfare initiatives for tribal communities in the region. These changes signify a strategic realignment of administrative roles aimed at fostering development and effective governance across Maharashtra.
