Shocking: Heavy truck hits multiple vehicles near Navale bridge on Pune Bengaluru highway, 1 injured 

On 24^th February (Saturday), a terrible accident took place at Navale bridge chowk where a heavy truck hit a car from behind, causing the car to hit 4 more vehicles ahead of it. No casualties have happened. Only 1 person is minorly injured.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Avinash Dhame, Sub Inspector, Pune Traffic Police Sinhagad Road Division, said “At around 11 am, a truck was coming from Katraj to Navale bridge side. While several vehicles were standing at the traffic signal, the truck hit a car from behind. The impact was huge as it caused the car to hit 4 other vehicles in front of it such as another car, a tempo, a pick up vehicle & an auto rickshaw. All the vehicles have faced significant damages.”

Avinash Dhame further shares that no casualties have taken place. However, a senior citizen inside a car has been injured. She had been shifted to a nearby hospital. The damaged vehicles have been cleared & the traffic flow on the road has become smooth.

As soon as the accident happened, the truck driver ran away from the spot, so the police couldn’t catch him at that time. Action will be taken against the truck driver.
