Shocking !!! Man on IndiGo flight arrested for smoking beedi  

At the Mumbai airport, an Indigo Airlines passenger headed for Saudi Arabia was taken into custody by the airline’s security personnel. The suspect, Mohammed Ammruddin, was detained after he was found smoking a beedi (cigarette) in the Indigo flight’s restroom. He was from Delhi.

The incident happened on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. The incident happened as the aircraft was traveling from Delhi to Mumbai.

The suspect, who was supposed to travel from Mumbai to Dubai for a job, was apprehended by the watchful security officer conducting an onboard check after the plane touched down at Mumbai’s international airport at approximately 4.30 pm, according to a police officer of Sahar Police Station.

The suspect had left when the watchful security guard noticed the smoke in the restroom. The suspect was taken into custody by the cabin crew when he landed in Mumbai. The suspect said that by hiding the lighter and beedi in his pants pocket, he was able to get past the security check at the Delhi airport.

He has been charged by Sahar police for violating the Aircraft Act and a section of the Indian Penal Code that endangers lives. The suspect was prevented from boarding the scheduled flight, which was to take him from Mumbai to Saudi Arabia for a job.
