A disturbing incident has emerged from the Magarpatta police station in Hadapsar, Pune, where a woman detained on suspicion of theft claims to have been subjected to a brutal beating and denied water.
The victim alleges that when she requested water to quench her thirst, she was met with derogatory remarks from the police officers. She further asserts that four policemen, including a sub-inspector, and two female officers were involved in the assault.
In response to this harrowing ordeal, the victim, accompanied by her family members and social workers, has sought intervention from the Police Commissioner and Deputy Police Commissioners, urging them to take decisive action against those responsible. However, the Hadapsar police have remained tight-lipped on the matter, leaving the victims and advocates feeling ignored and neglected.
