Shopkeepers encroach on NIBM road

Residents of NIBM road often complain about the shopkeepers encroaching on the pedestrian walkways leading to no space for the citizens to walk.
The residents complained that there are gift shopee, caterers, vegetable shops who have encroached outside their shop too.

A resident of Sunshree Kangan, D K Singh complained that the shopkeepers have not kept any space for the residents to walk. The authorities have turned a blind eye towards such encroachment. PMC should remove these encroachments and make way for pedestrians to walk.

Another resident of Sunshree E building said, “Almost all shops have encroached outside their shops. From caterers, grocery stores, dairy, sofa, each of them have extended their shops. PMC is completely neglecting this encroachment.”

When Pune Pulse spoke to the Pune Municipal Corporation officer from building construction department, Shramik Shevate, he said, “The societies can raise a complaint to the PMC. The civic administration will definitely take an action. Such sort of encroachments are not acceptable.”
