Pune: Speaking at the 5th convocation of MIT ADT University as chief guest, Somnath S, secretary, of the Department of Space and chairman, ISRO, told the students that the nation needed them more than ever in these challenging times. exhorted them to be dedicated to their goals and passionate about what they want to achieve in their career. It is a matter of pride for me. Today, on this festive day, I have the privilege of knowing about this historical institution and am overwhelmed to know about the future plans of the institute.”

“Any degree, recognition, certificate, or award is not just achieved easily, but through consistent efforts and commitment. Any award is just the beginning. You must recognize that your success in your future life is determined by many qualities, both personal and professional,” said Somnath.

MIT Art, Design & Technology University’s 5th annual convocation ceremony was organized on 9th November 2022 at the Philosopher Saint Dnyaneshwara World Peace Prayer Hall and Library, MIT ADT University Vishwarajbaug, Loni Kalbhor, Pune.

2315 Students put on their graduation & post-graduation hats and gowns and receive their medals and certificates in the presence of the chief guest Dr. Somanath. S, Chairman, ISRO, Bangalore, Secretary Dept. of Space, New Delhi, guest of honour Padmashri Dr. G. D. Yadav, President, India Chemical Society, Delhi, Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President of MIT ADT University, Dr. P.B. Joshi, Tulshiram Karad, Prof Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President and Vice-chancellor, Dr. Anant Chakradeo, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Mahesh Chopade, the registrar were present.

Meanwhile, The University conferred honorary doctoral degrees to Suresh Katta, CEO and Founder, of Saama Technologies USA. Conferring the first “Bharat Ratna Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Award for Science and
Technology” to Padmashri Dr. G. D. Yadav, President, India Chemical Society, Delhi.

Dr. Somanath. S said I am confident that with your talent, ideas, energy and enthusiasm you would build a successful and fulfilling career and meet the expectations of the country,”. “You must have passion, commitment, excellence, determination, ability to learn, humility, honesty and integrity,” asserted Somnath.

Dr. Ganapati Yadav expressed his delight at receiving the first Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science and Technology Award. MIT ADT University has a world-class infrastructure. The student should be an individual with a good character, courage, patience, and a forgiving attitude. Make use of AI, machine learning, and new technologies in your learning and teaching. The world is experiencing a financial crisis as a result of Covid19 and the war between Russia and Ukraine. The current high level of carbon dioxide emissions poses a threat to the world. Technologies with zero carbon emissions are needed. Hydrogen is the key to saving the world. By 2050, crude oil is going to be gone, so we must switch to alternative fuels. There are good days ahead for the chemical industry. All girls should be able to receive free education up to the level of a PhD to fulfil the dreams of Savitribai Phule. India will dominate the world if the net zero goal is achieved.

Prof. Dr. Vishawanath Karad, advised graduates to think creatively and make new discoveries rather than just following tradition. Congratulated all the graduates for their success and upcoming achievement in the demanding ecosystem which they are going to enter.

Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad motivated the students to achieve great heights in the next chapter of their lives. Today we distributed at the main convocation ceremony with a total of 2315 students who graduated and post-graduated in the year 2021-22 in 16 various disciplines. Out of them, 45 students from various disciplines will be awarded gold medals and 14 Ph. D. students will be awarded degree certificates. Out of them 392 students from MIT Institute of Design, School of Engineering 760, School of Architecture 29, MITCOM 226, MIT SOFA 105, SOFT 146, MIT School of Bioengineering Science and Research 84, MIT Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy 21, MIT School of Education and Research 45, MIT School of Vedic Science 53, MIT MANET 229, MIT ISBJ 138, MIT SOD 5, MIT SFT 23, Fuse 27, MIT SOH 18, Ph.D. 14 students will be receiving degree certificates.
