Shrawan Somwar celebrated at Sankat Haran Mahadev Mandir
Ex Corporator of NIBM road Tanaji Lonkar had organised grand celebrations on the occasion of Shravan Somvar at the Sankat Haran Mahadev Mandir on NIBM road.
Several programs were held on the occasion at the temple such as Mangalagaur performed by Shravani Group from Talegaon Dabhade, Shiv Bhandara, Laghu Rudra and other religious programs for the devotees.
A unique Shivling made from coins by artist Deepak Gholap was kept for display at the temple. The Shivling made by coins had Rs 2 coins – 14,916 nos., Rs 5 coins – 4275 nos., Rs 10 coins – 2510 nos. A total of 22.301 coins of worth Rs 79,307. Deepak’s unique creation has been recorded in India Book Of Records.
The program was attended by Ex MLA Mahadev Babar, Ex Corporator Megha Babar, Prabhag 26 Corporator Nanda Lonkar, Coopted Corporator Sanjay Lonkar and many residents of Kondhwa, NIBM road and adjoining areas.
