In an effort to assist travelers, the Maha Metro and Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mandal Limited have scheduled shuttle buses from the Ramwadi and Yerawada metro stations to Lohegaon airport by the end of next month.

Shuttle buses will have their own bus bays at Yerawada station; pick-up and drop-off locations will be at Ramwadi station. Since there is currently no direct route for travelers to take from the Metro to the airport, the authorities are putting this plan together.

Frequent travelers stated that before the Metro extends its run to Ramwadi, plans for feeder services and last-mile connectivity should be finalized.

According to a frequent flyer from Pune airport, the change will make it easier for travelers to reach the airport. The Metro ought to have started running later. The authorities are now in charge of offering feeder services.

According to a commuter on the metro, consistent and high-quality feeder services will prevent instances of transport providers taking advantage of their customers. Currently, passengers who disembark at Yerawada or Ramwadi Metro stations must pay a substantial sum of money for auto rickshaws in order to get to the airport.

Maha Metro representatives stated that they are negotiating specifics with the PMPML regarding the frequency of feeder buses to the airport.

According to a Metro official, Yerawada station will have PMPML and MSRTC bus stops in addition to these feeder buses to the airport, allowing commuters to switch between Metro and bus services. Three different public transportation services will have stops at Yerawada, a multimodal station (Metro, PMPML and MSRTC).
