There was panic inside a Delhi Metro ladies’ coach on Friday, June 20, after a rumour spread that a snake was inside the compartment. The women passengers started shouting and jumping on the seats. One of the commuters recorded the moment, and the video soon went viral on social media.

The incident took place inside a coach on the Blue Line. In the video, several women can be seen pressing the emergency button and asking the train operator to stop the train. Some women climbed onto the seats, trying to stay away from the floor. However, the video does not show any snakes.

After the video went viral, some people on social media said that it may have been a misunderstanding. A woman, who claimed to be inside the coach, commented that someone first said it was a lizard, but others began to say it was a snake, which led to panic. The train was stopped at the next station.

After the video went viral, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) released a statement to clear the confusion. According to DMRC, there was no sign of a snake in the coach or in the CCTV footage. They found only a small lizard during their check. The DMRC also said that the train was safe and there was no danger to passengers.

DMRC also said that the train was stopped at Akshardham Metro station and then sent to the depot for a complete check.
