Sony Pictures and Prime Video join hands to launch ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ OTT service in India

In a strategic collaboration, Sony Pictures Television, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has teamed up with Prime Video India to introduce a dedicated OTT service – ‘Sony Pictures – Stream.’ 

Available through Prime Video Channels, the new service caters to the Indian audience, offering a diverse collection of international movies, popular TV shows, and exclusive content from SonyLIV and Crunchyroll India. The introductory subscription price for ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ is set at Rs 399 per year on Prime Video Channels.

Under the partnership, Prime Video has entered into a distribution agreement with Sony Pictures Television (SPT) to launch the new OTT service. Prime members can seamlessly access ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ through an annual add-on subscription, providing them with an extensive range of entertainment options.

The curated content on ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ includes a variety of blockbuster movies, timeless classics, and popular TV shows. Movie enthusiasts can enjoy titles such as “Charlie’s Angels,” “Men in Black,” “Ghostbusters,” “Jerry Maguire,” “Legends of the Fall,” and “Spotlight,” among others. TV aficionados will have access to classics like “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Bewitched,” “Diff’rent Strokes,” as well as recent hit shows like “A Very English Scandal” and “Loudermilk.”

Expressing enthusiasm about the collaboration, Vivek Srivastava, Head of Prime Video Channels, India, highlighted the convenience and accessibility that ‘Sony Pictures – Stream’ brings to Indian customers. 

He stated, “In sync with our philosophy of super-serving our customers with choice, access and convenience, we have worked towards offering a wide variety of content, making it all available at a single destination – Prime Video.”
