SPPU introduces course in drone technologyÂ
Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced that it will be introducing courses in drone technology. The courses, which will include certificate courses, degree programs, and diploma courses, will be offered in partnership with Drone Acharya, a company specializing in drone technology. The agreement was recently signed by representatives of both the university and the company.
The courses will cover a range of topics, including drone piloting, drone building and maintenance, drone data processing, and the use of drones for disaster management and agricultural planning. The university hopes that the courses will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to take advantage of the many opportunities available in the field of drone technology.
Dr. Aditya Abhyankar, head, Technology Department at Savitribai Phule Pune University, emphasized the importance of certificate courses in the program. He also noted that the university will be closely monitoring the response of students to the new courses, with plans to make adjustments as needed.
The announcement has been met with enthusiasm by those in attendance at the signing ceremony, which included a number of university officials, as well as representatives of DroneAcharya and other organizations.
