According to the committee appointed under the chairmanship of Rajesh Pandey, a member of the management council regarding the introduction of CNG bus service in the university, this bus service was started in the year 2019. For this, Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited had provided two buses to the university under ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’.  Initially, the plan was to charge three months free and thereafter a nominal fee.  This bus service was also started but after some time due to Corona this bus service had to be stopped.  But now the university campus is once again full of students and citizens coming and going.

Steps taken by Savitribai Phule Pune University for the convenience of students

Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr.  Sanjeev Sonawane and Registrar Dr. Prafulla Pawar the university administration has decided to start the bus service once again.  Accordingly, now a bus is riding the area every half an hour.
This bus serves from the main gate of the university to all the main places in the university.
