Strict action against violators dumping waste on open spaces

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has decided to take stern action against violators dumping construction debris on open private and public space. All eight ward offices have been instructed to take stern action and fine them heavily.  

PCMC has fixed spaces near Nigdi police station in A Ward, Mhaske Vasti Ravet in B Ward, Gawalimatha Garbage Collection Center in C Ward, On Highway near Vision Mall in D Ward, near Charholi cremation ground in E ward, Ankush Chowk, Spine Road, Yamunanagar in F ward, Thergaon cemetery and in G ward and near Dapodi railway station in H ward.

“These are the places where the construction debris alongwith concrete, clay, steel, wood, bricks and cement mixed sand can be dumped,” said Commissioner Rajesh Patil.

 “Locations have been identified in all the eight wards at the primary level for laying such waste and it will be increased as required. This waste will be scientifically processed at the Moshi plant. Municipal Corporation has also appointed an independent agency for this,” informed Commissioner Patil. 
“Strict action will be taken against those who are found dumping such unauthorized waste on the side of rivers, streams, lakes, etc, or on roads, sidewalks or open private, government land, except at designated places” he added.
