Sudhir Mehta honoured with Surya Bhushan Puraskar 2021
Sudhir Mehta, President of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA) honored with prestigious ‘Surya Bhushan Rashtriya Puraskar 2021’ by Suryadatta Group of Institutes for his valuable contribution in field of Global Entrepreneurship & Pioneering work in Social Service, creating a Covid response platform and exemplary work in the area of global fund raising.
This award has been presented to Sudhir Mehata at the hands of Prof. Dr. Sanjay B Chordiya, Founder President & Chairman, Suryadatta Education Foundation & in auspicious presence of Dr Rajendra Jagdale, Director General of Science and Technology Park as chief guest & Dr Deepak Shikarpur, IT Evangelist & Advisory Board Member, Suryadatta Group of Institutes as guest of honour at MCCIA, SB Road, Pune. Prashant Girbane, Director General of MCCIA, Subhash Kankariya, Industrialist, Sushma Chordiya, Vice-President & Secretary of Suryadatta Group of Institutes, Siddhant Chordiya, CDO, Prof. Sunil Dhadiwal, Director of Suryadatta Group of Institutes, Rohit Sancheti were present on this occasion.
Sudhir Mehata expressed his gratitude and said, that, industry sector will come to a standstill throughout the year, if there is no wave in the upcoming days. Acceleration of the vaccination drive has given a boost to all sectors.
The first and second waves of the Corona hit the industry hard. The hotel, tourism and services sectors were the hardest hit. The agriculture and manufacturing sectors are slowly recovering, while other industries are resumed now. The MCCIA is continuously conducting surveys and giving support to the industries as and when required. Cooperation and guidance is being given to revive the industry. During the Corona period, MCCIA undertook a number of initiatives to enable health facilities, Oxygen constructors, PPE kits, food distribution and other activities were implemented. Vaccination of workers in the industry is being encouraged. Suryadatta has taken efforts to shape the next generation. Their initiatives of bridging the gap between industry and academia are useful for both and beneficial for the students to get employment.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordiya said that Sudhir Mehata did an excellent job in the pandemic. Mehta played an important role in helping industries and various sections of the society through MCCIA.
