Pune: Swargate to Katraj underground metro is proposed in Pune city. Minister Uday Samant said in the Legislative Assembly that the proposal will be sent to the Central Government with the approval of the Cabinet.
As per information, he was speaking while replying to a question raised by Bhimrao Tapkir, MLA from Khadakwasla constituency regarding the expansion of stations in Pune Metro Phase 1 and 2.
After the Swargate to Katraj Metro proposal goes to the central government, the state government will follow up and approve it. DPR of Khadakwasla to Khadari metro line of 25.65 km has been submitted to the state government. It will also be sent to the central government with the approval of the cabinet.
It is demanded that the last station of this metro should be up to Khadakwasla dam. It has also been jointly inspected.
The proposal has been submitted to the government along with the feasibility report and the state government will take a decision on it, Minister Uday Samant said on this occasion.
