Swati Ananta Takale Unveils Tech-Focused Development Roadmap As PMC Poll Campaign Gains Momentum
With the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections drawing closer, Shivsena (Shinde Sena Faction), Chief Of Women’s Wing, Pune (2014-2025), Swati Ananta Takale, has presented a comprehensive vision for a technology- driven transformation of the Mahadevwadi-Undri region.
In her outreach to residents, Takale described her political journey as one rooted in public service and inspired by leaders including Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Annabhau Sathe and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil. She added that the guidance of Balasaheb Thackeray, Anand Dighe and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has shaped her work within the Shiv Sena over the years.
Takale who aspires to serve as a PMC Corporator from Ward 41 – Mahadevwadi Undri, said fulfilling every commitment made to citizens will remain her priority. “This role is not merely a position-it is a mission to lead our locality into a new era of technology-driven growth,” she said.
LEADERSHIP ROOTED IN PUBLIC TRUST
Referring to herself as “your trusted Tai,” Takale said she is recognised not only as a political figure but as a decisive and experienced public representative committed to citizen welfare. She highlighted her efforts to strengthen women’s leadership within both the party and local governance.
STEADY POLITICAL AND ORGANISATIONAL RISE
Tracing her political journey, Takale noted her consistent rise within the Shiv Sena since 2007. Her roles include:
- 2007: Entered Shiv Sena as a dedicated party worker
- 2008: Deputy Taluka Chief, Shiv Sena Women’s Wing
- 2010: Taluka Chief, Women’s Wing, leading organisational strengthening 2012-2017: Pune Zilla Parishad Member, gaining administrative and rural development experience
- 2014: District Chief, Women’s Wing, guiding leadership programs for women 2024: Government-nominated PMC member, contributing to policy-making and implementation
ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE AND GRASSROOTS IMPACT
Takale said her administrative background and on-ground engagement with citizens have equipped her to shoulder greater responsibilities. She expressed confidence that the collective support of Mahadevwadi-Undri residents will help accelerate sustainable and technology-enabled development in the area.
Akash Ananta Takale, the elder son of Swati Takale, has stepped into the political arena to support her campaign. Actively engaged in politics since his teenage years, he has emerged as a reliable, energetic and influential youth leader in the community.
As the PMC elections approach, Takale’s message marks the beginning of a focused campaign highlighting her leadership record, organisational experience, and commitment to modernising civic services through technology.
