Swiggy delivery boy passes indecent comments against woman : FIR registered in Khadki police station
PUNE:Â A delivery boy from Swiggy, who was handing over a packet of sanitary pads to a female customer, made inappropriate gestures towards her by passing lewd comments.
As per the information provided, the 26-year-old woman from Wakdewadi filed a complaint with the Khadki Police Station. An FIR has been registered against the delivery boy on charges of sexual assault.
As per the police report, the complainant had placed an order for household items on Swiggy and noticed that the sanitary pad packet had been tampered with. Later, she took a photograph of the same and reported it to Swiggy, who sent a new packet with a different delivery person to her address.
The accused delivery boy delivered the new packet and requested payment, but the complainant directed him to contact Swiggy instead. The delivery boy claimed that his mobile phone battery had died and asked if he could charge it. Later, he made lewd gestures and behaved indecently.
While talking to Pune Pulse, Police Sub-Inspector Dhangude, added, ”An FIR has been registered, and they are in contact with Swiggy to gather all possible information. The accused will be identified through the ID provided by the company, along with the delivery time. A thorough investigation is underway, and the accused will be apprehended soon.”
