Pune, May 31, 2023: The fourth edition of Internat

Pune, May 31, 2023: The fourth edition of International Conference on Automotive Materials and Manufacturing AM&M 2023 opened with an emphasis on making the Indian auto industry environment friendly through newer materials and processes.

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) called the fourth edition of the conference and the exposition (AM&M EXPO 2023) open on Wednesday.

The conference is being held physically after the third edition conducted in online mode due to the COVID 19 pandemic. This conference is being hosted at Homologation and Technology Centre (HTC) of ARAI at Chakan Pune from 31st May to 2nd June 2023. It is being organized in association with SAE India and ASM International (Pune Chapter).

ARAI Director Dr Reji Mathai in presence of AMM 2023 Convener Medha Jambhale welcomed the dignitaries present for the conference, including Deepak Garg, Managing Director, Sany Heavy Industries, along with Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, and Rajendra Petkar, CTO, Tata Motors and President of ARAI, who addressed the gathering virtually.

Pune: During an event in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra's

Pune: During an event in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Ahmednagar will be renamed as Ahilya Nagar soon.

This decision is in honor of Ahilyabai Holkar, the queen of the Maratha Empire, who was born in Chondi village in Ahmednagar district. The announcement coincided with Ahilyabai Holkar's 298th birth anniversary, which is also celebrated as Ahilyabai Holkar Jayanti.

The event was attended by Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar, and others.

The renaming of Ahmednagar was demanded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in February, following the renaming of Aurangabad and Osmanabad as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Dharashiv, respectively, by the government.

Prepare to be captivated by an extraordinary art exhibition taking place at the renowned BalGandharva Art Gallery in Pune from 1st to 3rd June 2023. This unique showcase will feature the innovative work of Girish Murudkar, a highly regarded artist based in Pune, who has ventured into the realm of sculpture creation using siporex blocks.

Girish Murudkar expressed his enthusiasm for this unconventional art form, stating, "Siporex blocks offer a fresh perspective in comparison to traditional art forms. Their malleability allows for the effortless creation of intricate carvings. These blocks are easily found at construction sites, often discarded as waste. Even if purchased, they are incredibly affordable. Instead of disposing of these readily available items, I believe we can transform them into artistic masterpieces. Thus, I began crafting unique pieces using siporex blocks, and I am thrilled to present them at this art exhibition. In addition to siporex blocks, visitors will also witness the remarkable creativity brought to life using everyday objects like peeling knives and polishing paper."

The exhibition will feature an array of captivating artworks by Murudkar, including Pagdya, Chhota Jiretop, Vrindavan, and Ganpati. Notably, a replica of the Peshwa turban, created for the film 'Bajirao-Mastani,' will also be on display. These remarkable pieces have been meticulously crafted using common household tools such as hexa blades, saws, polishing paper, nails, peeling knives (solane), and cutting knives.
