Tamil New Year celebrated in Wanowrie
The auspicious occasion of Tamil New Year was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan in Wanowrie by the Tamil Welfare Association, Pune. The program held on April 14, 2022 was inaugurated by Dr Ravi Narayan Pillay, principal, Foresight Schools and Junior College.
The official inauguration of the organisation’s name board was also held during the celebrations. Each member who attended the event was present in traditional South Indian attire.
The program was organised by Arvind Rajendra Pillay, founder president and Santosh Kumar, secretary, Tamil Welfare Association, Pune.
The program saw many attendees such as Prashant Jagtap, president, Nationalist Congress Party, Pune, Mahesh Punde, president, Bharatiya Janata Party, Pune Cantonment, Kalinda Punde, ex corporator Wanowrie, Balasaheb Shivarkar, former minister for state and Shivaji Kedari, vice president, Indian National Congress, Pune city.
