Tata Motors is set to launch the Tata Curvv electric SUV, with prices anticipated to start at around Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). Known for its extensive electric vehicle (EV) lineup, including models like the Tata Nexon.ev, Tata Punch.ev, Tata Tigor.ev, and Tata Tiago.ev, Tata Motors continues to strengthen its position in the EV market.
In FY24, Tata Motors sold 64,217 EV units, capturing a 70.6% market share, as reported by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). This marks a 65.8% year-on-year growth in EV sales for the company. Notably, Tata Motors is the only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in India with two five-star safety-rated electric SUVs, the Tata Nexon.ev and Tata Punch.ev, both of which received these ratings from Bharat NCAP. The Tata Curvv EV, initially revealed in concept form in 2022, has recently been seen in testing and teased by the company, indicating its readiness for production.

The Tata Curvv will first be introduced as an electric model, with a subsequent internal combustion engine (ICE) version to follow.
Key features of the Tata Curvv EV include a sleek LED light bar, sculpted LED headlights, and robust bumpers, along with a distinctive SUV-coupe design highlighted by a sloping roofline. The interior is expected to feature a floating touchscreen infotainment display, a fully digital instrument console, a two-spoke steering wheel with a touch panel, and touch-based HVAC controls. The vehicle is anticipated to offer a range of 400km to 500km on a single charge and may come in both single-motor and dual-motor variants, with the latter providing an all-wheel drive option.
The Tata Curvv EV is poised to compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
