According to Saurabh Singh’s complaint, Raval, who lives in Bodakdev, came to the bank to ask about TDS deductions on his fixed deposit interest. Even after receiving a thorough explanation about the refund process, Raval reportedly became upset, accusing the bank of misappropriating his funds. He then allegedly took Singh’s ID card, grabbed his shirt, and tore it.
When Jain stepped in to calm things down, Raval slapped him and ripped his shirt. Other bank employees and customers were able to hold Raval back before the situation got worse. Singh quickly called the police, who came to the scene to restore order. The Vastrapur police have filed an FIR against Raval for obstructing a lawful duty, using abusive language, and physical assault. This incident highlights the increasing stress levels associated with financial disputes. Vastrapur Police Inspector L L Chavda mentioned, “We have arrested the accused in this matter, and the investigation is still ongoing.”
