Techie duped of Rs 91,000 under the pretext of providing admission in army school

Pune: The Shivaji Nagar police are currently searching for an individual who deceived a female techie by assuring her of securing admission for her daughter at an Army school in Mumbai.
The victim stated that the suspect, who is also a techie, claimed to possess influential connections that would facilitate the process. Senior inspector Arvind Mane of the Shivaji Nagar police station informed that the suspect obtained a sum of Rs 91,000 from the woman and failed to fulfill his commitment. The incident occurred in April this year.
As per the information received, the techie is a single parent residing in Mumbai with her family. Consequently, she desired to ensure her daughter’s enrolment in the Army school located in South Mumbai.
