Teenager Sexually Assaulted in Nigdi, 22-Year-Old Man and 15-Year-Old Girl Arrested

A shocking case of sexual assault has been reported in Nigdi, Pune. A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 22-year-old man, Salim, with the help of her 15-year-old classmate. The incident occurred between July 5 and August 9.

On the day of the incident, the victim was alone at home when Salim threatened her, saying, “Come with me to Durga hill, or I’ll kill you and your family.” He then forcibly took her to Durga hill, where he sexually assaulted her three times.

The 15-year-old classmate, who allegedly aided Salim, stopped at a distance during the assault. Salim threatened the victim to keep quiet, warning her that he would strangle her if she revealed the incident.

The victim remained silent due to fear, but when she became two months pregnant, that’s when the truth came to light. Her 35-year-old mother subsequently filed a complaint at the Nigdi police station.

A case has been registered under the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Atrocities Act against Salim and the 15-year-old girl.

The Nigdi police are currently investigating the case and have assured swift action against the accused.

This incident highlights the need for increased awareness and safety measures to protect minors from sexual abuse.
