In a bid to enhance Pune’s metro infrastructure, the upcoming days will witness significant construction activities at Savitribai Phule Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk. As part of this, the casting of girders will be underway on Monday and Tuesday.

To facilitate this crucial phase of construction, the traffic flow along the Aundh-Baner-Pashan road will be temporarily diverted. This diversion, implemented on a pilot basis, aims to ensure smooth progress of the steel girder work.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar has issued directives in this regard, emphasizing the need for cooperation from commuters during this period. The adjustments to traffic routes include a doubling of the existing one-way traffic between Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk and Abhiman Shri Chowk on Pashan Road. Additionally, access to Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk from Baner Road will be closed temporarily.

Motorists traveling from Baner Road to Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk are advised to make a right turn at Abhiman Shri Chowk to Pashan Road, proceeding to their destination via this route. Similarly, those journeying from Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk to Aundh Road are encouraged to utilize Aundh Road directly from Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk.

These measures are vital for ensuring the safety of commuters and the efficiency of construction operations. Commuters are urged to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate with the designated traffic guidelines.
