Theatres, auditoriums to open from Dec 1 with full capacity

Pune District Guardian minister and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar today announced all auditoriums, theatres, multiplexes can operate with 100 percent capacity from December 1.

The review meeting was held at the Council Hall which was attended by MP Girish Bapat, Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Zilla Parishad chairman Nirmala Pansare, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh.

Pawar further stated that since the Covid19 is in control in the state, schools are allowed to open from December 1. Similarly, cultural programmes shall be allowed to conduct. But following Covid19 protocols is a must. We must all be careful as the new Covid variant has been reported in some countries.

Those who have taken both the doses of the vaccination are allowed to fly. Such flyers will not have to display their certificates at the Pune Airport. With major festivals that happened in the last few weeks and risk of the new variant of Covid19, the decision on Jumbo Covid Center will be taken only by December end.

Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao in the meeting informed that 1 crore 30 lakh people have been vaccinated, where Pune district ranks second in the state. 97 percent people have been vaccinated withh first dose while 62 percent have taken the second dose. The positivity rate of the district is 1.6.
