This week, MMRDA plans to open a new flyover at the T2 junction of Mumbai Airport to reduce traffic jams on the Western Express Highway.

The flyover aims to make traffic flow smoothly, especially during peak hours. Many vehicles passing through T2 towards Bandra face heavy traffic congestion near the T1 junction.

The new flyover, running parallel to the existing one, has two lanes, is 8 meters wide, and stretches for 615 meters. It will direct traffic from Terminal 2 towards Bandra, helping to shorten signal waiting times. The design of the flyover meets the criteria for the airport funnel zone.
