As Vasota Fort is located in the core area of the wildlife department, there is an increase in the number of tourists in this area due to which the natural treasure is affected a lot.

Tourism at Vasota Fort has been closed for 3 days i.e. from December 30 (Saturday) to January 1 (Monday).

Located in Satara district, Vasota Fort is an ideal tourist spot for nature lovers, fort lovers and trekkers.

Vasota Fort is situated in the Koyna Sanctuary and Sahyadri Tiger Reserve in the remote areas of Javali Taluka. Trekkers, fort lovers, nature lovers and tourists are always fascinated by this fort. On holidays, this fort sees a rush of tourists. A large number of tourists come to the fort to bid farewell to the new year.

As Vasota Fort is located in the core area of the wildlife department, there is an increase in the number of tourists in this area due to which the natural treasure is affected a lot.

Hence, to avoid any harm to the fort, the entry of tourists has been banned from December 30 to January 1. These instructions have also been given to boating clubs that transport tourists from Koyna Reservoir.
The forest department has warned that legal action will be taken against anyone found in the Vasota Fort area during these 3 days.
