Traffic Diversions Announced in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Hinjawadi, and Talegaon for Assembly Vote Counting on November 23

The counting of votes for the Assembly constituencies will be held at two locations on November 23 : Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Workers’ Hall in Thergaon and Nutan Polytechnic College in Talegaon Dabhade. Given the expected presence of a large number of political party workers at these locations, traffic congestion is anticipated. To ensure smooth and peaceful proceedings during vote counting, temporary traffic diversions have been announced as follows:

Thergaon Area (Wakad Traffic Division)

1. Entry Restrictions:

•    – All vehicles are prohibited from entering the route from Tapkir Chowk to Thergaon.
•    – Alternative Route: Vehicles will divert via Kalewadi Road through Kalewadi Phata to reach their destinations.

2. Vehicles from Kalewadi Police Station towards Tapkir Chowk are restricted.

   – Alternative Route: Vehicles will take a right turn from Kalewadi Police Station via the water tank road.

3. Vehicles from the Secondary School (Thergaon) towards Tapkir Chowk are restricted.

   – Alternative Route: Vehicles will turn right from the school and proceed via the G-Block road.

4. Parking Zones:

•    – BJP Mahayuti workers: Tapkir Chowk to Tapkir Mala roadside spaces.
•    – Mahavikas Aghadi workers: Thergaon Gaothan area.
•    – Other parties: Parking reserved near the PMPML bus parking lot adjacent to D-Mart.

Hinjawadi Area 

1. Restricted Routes:

•    – Godrej Circle to Radha Chowk and vice versa for heavy vehicles.
•    – Alternative Route: Vehicles will divert via Chandannagar and Man-Hinjawadi routes.

2. Balewadi Stadium Main Gate Road to Mahalunge Police Chowki is closed.

•    – Alternative Routes:
•      – Light vehicles: Divert from Godrej Circle or Mahalunge to reach their destinations.

3. Parking Zones:

•    – Mahavikas Aghadi workers: Parking arranged near Radha Hotel and between Nyati Showroom and Paradise Haveli underpass.
•    – Mahayuti workers: Parking near Rajwada Gate to Mula River Bridge.

4. Other party workers: Parking near Namdevrao Mohol Secondary School and surrounding roads.

Talegaon Area (Talegaon Traffic Division)

1. Restrictions:

•    – Heavy vehicles from Mumbai via Talegaon-Chakan Road to HP Chowk are restricted.
•    – Alternative Route: Vehicles will use the MIDC Road via Navlakh Umbre, Bhamchandra Hill, and Ambethan.

2. Light vehicles from Mumbai to Chakan direction via Indrayani College Road are restricted.

   – Alternative Route: Vehicles will divert via Mantra City Road and BSNL Corner.

3. Independent candidate workers: Parking at Mount St. Ann’s School premises.

4. Mahayuti workers: Parking near Waghale Park and Bharat Petrol Pump to Eagle Corner.

5. Other candidates: Parking arranged near the Sub-Registrar’s office.

General Notice

From 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM on November 23, 2024, or until vote counting concludes, all vehicles (except essential services such as police, fire, ambulance, and election-related vehicles) are prohibited from entering the restricted areas. Citizens are requested to use the designated alternative routes during this period.
