Traffic Police Officers Suspended for Accepting Bribes in Pune

Two Pune police traffic officials have been suspended for allegedly taking bribe from the traffic violators. The move came after, a video of the duo taking bribe started making rounds on social media.

As per the information, the incident took place on Gangadham – Aai Mata Mandir Road in Pune, where officails from Swargate Traffic Division were on duty. As per the video these two officials were seen while accepting cash from a violator.

The video clearly shows the two officers accepting cash from drivers without providing any official receipts or documentation. This alleged unethical behavior raised significant concerns about corruption within the police force and the fair enforcement of traffic laws.

Deputy Commissioner Vijaykumar Magar emphasized the seriousness of the issue and reiterated the police department’s commitment to maintaining integrity and professionalism. 

As per the officials, the suspension of the two policemen serves as a strong message against corruption and malpractice within the police force.

The incident has sparked a debate on social media platforms, with citizens expressing their outrage and demanding stricter action against corrupt officers. The authorities have assured the public that a thorough investigation will be conducted to identify any other officers involved in such practices.
